Quality Assurance Travel - Company Research

CGR 115

In the last so many posts, I have analyzed the brand, logo, and website of this company, but one important thing that I was taught about designing is that researching the company is also important so I decided to go back and try to find out a little information about this bus company.

Though the company website doesn't seem to have a history page or very much information on its formation or owners, I found out some information about the company and its serving locations. Their actual physical address is 1585 Laurelwood Road, Santa Clara, CA 95054, but they are actually a family owned company, two brothers, Art Moreno and Eric Moreno, and their wives and children run the business. They serve customers in the San Francisco Bay Area, San Jose, Silicon Valley, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, East Bay, Marin County, and Monterey.

As a bus company, they seem to be a high quality busing company. When researching for design work, the company itself isn't always the most important thing to look at, sometimes its more important to know the area they are located and work at, the type of people they cater to, the places they plan to advertise in. If I was actually designing their brand I would have to research this company a lot more to know these things because they can all help me in the design by keeping the audience in my thoughts.

The type of general services that they offer on their website include:
  • Airport transfers
  • Church groups
  • Convention shuttles
  • Corporate events
  • Nonprofit events
  • Event and party shuttle
  • School activities
  • San Jose charters
  • San Francisco charters
  • Snow trips
  • Indian casino trips
On top of that they also offer sport teams charters and busing for tours. This is a big range of clients that are included for this company to think about when designing so it would have to be a brand that could be interesting and understandable to this wide audience. Its this type of information that you should know when you are designing a brand for a company.
