Just in their logo alone, they have their name, an idea of what the company is about or related to, as well as graphic/color. Not only that, but the coloring of the logo is brought into the website as well as for the coloring, which I think is really important for an effective site.
In their website, they have the blue from the O, the yellow from the V, the red from the T, and the green from the I. They don't use the green or red very much, but they use it enough to draw attention and attach it to the logo. The yellow background and blue section is the most noticeable parts, but they make sure that either some graphic or image or something contains the other colors. This site does a good job of incorporating color, organization, and creativity for an effective site. They don't have many different graphic/animations on their page, but that isn't as important as the content, and from the home page, I can easily tell what this company and site is about. They make it clear, without using a lot of text, and just have a simple navigation at the top of the screen, leaving the home page simply for the most important information, not wanting to overcrowd the site. The color scheme is basic, with using only a few colors for main sections, but still attention getting. There isn't a lot of white space, which I like because they decided to fill up that white space with colors and or graphics. As for effective, I think this site does a very good job of mixing the purpose of their site, their logo, color scheme, organization and overall design very well, keeping a very design effective site as well as a product effective site.
