For my website project for my class, I am making a website for a male country singer. Part of the website is the Gallery, which holds all the images of the CD covers and pictures of Jimmy playing. For this, I need to make at least 6 Cd covers for him, but I want to look Cd covers that don't show images of the artist on them and what types of layouts, colors, and such that they use. These are different country cd covers that I found, some of the name are familiar, some are not but I picked them because I found the layouts interesting, and the photographs for them intriguing. I love nature photographs, and I think for a country cd cover, I like to see what kinds of nature shots have been used and how I can make them into a cd cover. These different covers don't use pictures of the artist, except for the top left one, but the rets use photographs and graphics to make it more interesting without having to just have a facial shot of the artist themselves. I have a limited amount of photographs and a limited time to shoot for them, therefore I am trying to come up with another way to create my cover without using a photograph of the artist. The middle cd cover, the "Gods Country" I really like the best. I like the photo in the background, with the name of the artist matching the sunset without blending in too much, and the bold big title of the cd at the top of the page, overlapping just a little on the windmill without blocking it out. This is the kind of cd cover that I am trying to make, with a really beaitufil and simple cover. The right side cd cover, the "Line Dancing For Schools" book cover is a little scattered to me, the denim background is nice, and has good texture, but the rest of the cd cover doesn't seem to match to me. The boots look out of place and odd in the middle of the cover, and the denim too noticeable as the background, and though the texture is nice, making it more faded might have helped in stopping the background from drawing too much attention. The writing at the top matches the boots, but it isn't easily readible against the background and seems random. The cd cover on the far left is interesting and I think it draws attention. The wood background is nice, it also has good texture but without being too noticeable and distracting. It makes you think country, without being too in your face. The cover is simple, but draws attention because of the creativity of the name, though it doesn't tell us one piece of information, either the artist or cd name. It has one piece of information, but it doesn't tell us much else. Otherwise the entire layout of the cd cover i like, I think it matches colors really well and isn't trying to squeeze too much into one cover, while still drawing attention.
