Avril Lavigne is another popular musician who has a really interesting looking website that I actually really like, but her gallery I think is kind of confusing and disorganized. Her site is nice, but the gallery is long and it doesn't seem to be clear. The top of the page looks the same, and I almost didn't know that the page had changed, because the photos page is so similar to the home page, which makes it confusing. To the right, this is her album art page, and though the site is cool, I think this is not a good layout for her photo gallery, her pictures are broken up based on album, but that doesn't organize it very well. Plus since she has a dark background, and no color between the photos and the background, it makes the dark colored photos blend into the background, whereas the light colored pictures stick out so strongly. The image on the bottom right shows what happens when you click on an image, it displays the image a little bigger, but not very large. This image looks blown up, but its only slightly larger than the image was to begin with. The entire site just seems too bungled together, not organized very well. To the left the website looks like all together, and it is way too long up and down and makes scrolling annoying.
Her
layout of her website is more skinny and long rather than wider, and I
think it doesn't distinguish between different sections of the website
very well, which confuses me on several points. I don't like the sidebar
so close to the pictures, because they all blend together. The
background and color scheme I really like, its just the gallery
organization that I mostly don't like.
