This heading of Stephen Meyers website I think looks really good, because it draws attention to the heading, which tells us who's site this is, and I like the color scheme of the heading and the organization of it. The logo seems a little small simply because its crammed in the right corner of the page, but it still draws a little attention to itself. I also really like the look of the navigation, one thing that I like is how it looks like tabs. I like that style of navigation and I think it looks really good with the site. This type of heading doesn't identify exactly what the purpose of her site is, but she is famous enough to not have to worry about that in the heading.
Another type of heading is L. J. Smith's heading of his page, which is a lot less structured than Stephenie Myers. The background itself is a picture mixed with a bland color, and half of the heading is another picture that blends into the background. I think that the organization of the heading is a little confusing, because there are a lot of different pictures and images blending into the heading and background, and it makes the logo look a lot less noticeable when compared to the picture next to it. I think the idea is really cool, but I would make the logo pop more than the photo, by either making the picture more transparent or by making the logo more colorful or complimentary. What I do really like is the navigation, it takes the tab idea, but makes it a lot better, because it makes it very clear what page you are on, which also makes it blend into the page more so. This is a type of navigation that I will probably use for my authors website, because I think it looks really interesting.
This heading is a lot less creative and a lot more boring than the previous two authors headings. The heading is an extremely important part of a page, because it is usually the first thing that is looked at, and when you have an uninteresting heading, then it takes away from the page. Richelle's page is a lot more boring, because it doesn't draw enough attention to the logo or heading, because the coloring matches the rest of the page too well that it just blends in rather than stands out. In her case, she doesn't even have a logo, simply her name in whatever font she liked. Underneath her name, she has her navigation bar, which I think looks really old school. Her entire site is bland and not new age looking, and the navigation's plain design doesn't bring attention to any of the site at all.
