Hey everyone, today I'm looking at another website. Since I soon have to create a clothing website, I'm looking at American Eagles website to see how the websites are organized for clothing organizations.
As you can see, the website its self is pretty plain. Other than the images, which I do like the organization of them as well as the colors, I still don't think that the website is very creative or interesting, because the background is just a gradient and the entire organization of the site I think is a mess. The navigation at the top of the screen is not very noticeable, when I first looked at the site I didn't even notice it. They focus on the pictures, without drawing enough attention to their logo or their navigation. Though I like images, I think that the focus should remain on the important information on the site. They actually have two navigation's, one above the pictures, but the other is along the very top of the page. They just don't seem to have a lot of organization of the site, and no logical area's, like navigation, or basic information.
This is the very top of the page, I think the entire thing is boring and very non descriptive of anything. Other than the one mention of clothing in the center of the page, and if I knew nothing of American Eagle, this website does not show the purpose of the company or what it sells very well at all. The navigation and links are tiny, and bring no attention to it at all. Honestly, it seems like the most navigation is at the bottom of the page.
As you can see, they took up the entire upper page with photos and purposely kept the top portion blank, and put all of the links mostly at the bottom of the page. I really just did not like this website and don't think it works well to advertise the company.
