This shows different links to help different audiences, there is a link at the top for the entire site, and then there are also different languages and a version without any noises or other distractions.I like the way that she offers different things depending on different people. Her site is certainly geared toward an international audience rather than just American viewers. Once you click inside of the site though, it changes drastically.
This is the home page of the website. I do think it is a very unique type of website and layout, one that I have never seen before, but honestlyI find the entire website a little confusing. If I was just trying to find out about the novels, I wouldn't know where to start. Though I understand that it is suppose to be like her desk, I still think that as a website for a famous author, it is a little confusing. The entire thing seems more based on her life than on the series, which I find a little weird for an author. I realize bio's are important, but I look up books, I want to find a website about the books, not the author. Though I know thats just a personal preference. The only place that mentions Harry Poter is the small little flip book at the top right, and only when you scroll over it. As I said, I find it interesting as an idea, but for an author's website, I don't find it affective.
